What Does Islam Teach About Orphans?

The Holy Quran commands Muslims to treat orphans with kindness and never oppress or humiliate them. It also strongly warns against taking or misusing their property.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also experienced the loss of his parents at an early age. His life reminds us that an orphaned child should be treated with honour, affection, and respect, never with pity or neglect.
